II Corinthians 6:2 (NASB) |
Scripture | |
We all like to think of ourselves as good, moral people, but has anyone ever asked you if you’re a sinner? What is sin anyway? One might say, “I’m a good person, so why worry about a little sin? I haven’t killed anybody.” Don’t we love to take the extreme when confronted about our own insufficiencies? Read what Jesus said to a Pharisee (a Jewish religious leader) in John 3. Sin is breaking God’s law (I John 3:10). All unrighteousness is sin (I John 5:17). Unbelief is sin (John 16:8-9). Lying, cheating, stealing… the list goes on. Everybody sins. I sin, you sin, all of us do. From the smallest wrongs to much greater offenses, we are faced with the same problem: What can I do about it? There’s only one answer: receive Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior today (John 1:12). It begins with repenting or ‘turning around 180 degrees’ and asking Jesus to forgive you. After all, He died for the entire world, past, present, and future. That means every man, woman, and child ever born! Just pray something like this: Lord Jesus, I realize that I’m a sinner. Please come save me. I accept your sacrifice on the cross and I thank you for loving me enough to give your life for me. Amen. It’s as easy as that, but it isn’t cheap. It cost God the Father His only Son. Be sure to e-mail me with your decision and tell others about the life changing choice you made. I’ll be praying for you and will be glad to help you find a Bible believing church in your area. Don’t wait, do it today (II Cor. 6:2). |
